Reflection:

The work sample for Statistics and Assessment of Physical Education requires the teacher candidate to create a unit curriculum that includes pre-assessments, post-assessments, formative assessments, and cognitive assessments, across the four learning domains. My unit was Speed-Away which is a sport that is a mix between Football and Soccer. I had to come p with skills, rules and techniques assessments for the unit. It is the educators responsibility to have ways o assess how their teaching is helping the students. I not only assessed the students on how well they could perform the skills but I also assessed if they could cognitively remember the skills. The pre-assessment was good because it informs the teacher of where the students are at and then the post-assessment shows how the students improved and what the students need to work on.

Element: 5.3, Utilize the reflective cycle to implement change in teacher performance, student learning, and instructional goals and decisions.

Reflection:

The work sample for Statistics and Assessment of Physical Education requires the teacher candidate to create a unit curriculum that includes pre-assessments, post-assessments, formative assessments, and cognitive assessments, across the four learning goals. My work sample assessed all four learning goals because as a physical educator it is important so that you can fully assess the learning process that is occurring in their classes. My work sample helps me access my teaching skills through the student learning. I can see what is working and what needs to be worked on.
